Council on Child Abuse hosts third annual Reach for the Stars
Fundraiser honors Dr. Robert Shapiro
On Friday, April 24, the Council on Child Abuse (COCA) will celebrate National Child Abuse Prevention Month with its third annual Reach for the Stars event. The event will be held from 7 to 10 PM at the Manor House in Mason. Guests will be treated to two drinks, dinner by-the-bite, a silent auction and games of chance. Tickets are $75 for individuals or $125 for couples. For young professionals (under 35 years-old), tickets are $50 for individuals and $75 for couples.
This year’s fundraiser will honor Dr. Robert Shapiro for his commitment to keeping children safe as Director of the Mayerson Center for Safe and Healthy Children at Cincinnati Children’s. Proceeds from the event support COCA’s school-based personal safety program, which educates and enables children to speak out safely and confidentially about mistreatment or abuse.
Reach for the Stars is made possible through the generosity of many sponsors. Thanks to Diamond Sponsor: William R. Dally Foundation, Platinum Sponsor: Ohio National Foundation, Gold Sponsors: Midland Atlantic, Chuck and Sandy Rabe, and Bernie and Mary Kay Calonge, and Bronze Sponsor: Opus Capital Management.
