Fundraiser supports the fight against child abuse and bullying
CINCINNATI — The Council on Child Abuse (COCA) invites the community to Reach for the Stars, its annual fundraiser, on Friday, April 25 at Kenwood Country Club. This event, emceed by WLWT’s Sheree Paolello, will recognize National Child Abuse Prevention Month and raise funds to support COCA’s mission of preventing and stopping child abuse and bullying where children live, learn, and play.
Guests will enjoy a plated dinner, two drinks, and the opportunity to participate in a raffle and online auction leading up to the event. Tickets are available now, and space is limited. RSVP by April 18 at cocachild.org/events to secure your seat.
This year, COCA is proud to honor Mason City Schools for their ongoing commitment to creating safe and supportive environments for students.
During the 2023-2024 school year, COCA’s School-Based Personal Safety Program reached more than 34,000 students across Ohio, providing child abuse and bullying prevention education to pre-kindergarten through eighth-grade students. COCA has implemented a new safe dating program for junior and high school students, focusing on healthy relationship traits, safe dating strategies, and consent.
COCA extends its gratitude to Celestial Sponsor the William R. Dally Foundation and Galaxy Sponsor Integrity Express Logistics. The organization also acknowledges the generous support from numerous sponsors, donors, and board members for their invaluable contributions to COCA's mission.
